# Overview

The JM® Shipping Solution API gives integrators programmatic access to shipping services and insurance. Whether you are building an e-commerce checkout, a warehouse management system, or a standalone shipping tool, this API lets you:

* Quote and purchase shipping labels with optional insurance coverage
* Purchase insurance only for shipments with postage already bought through a carrier
* Validate, save, and manage origin and destination addresses
* Track shipments across major carriers
* File, manage, and attach documents to insurance claims
* Schedule carrier pickups
